Inverter faults are a common reason solar stops generating
An inverter may display an error code, report zero output or disconnect intermittently. The cause could relate to the inverter itself, grid conditions, a solar circuit, communications or another part of the installation.
A fault code is a useful starting point, but it does not confirm the root cause on its own. We can arrange an assessment that considers the system model, the reported behaviour and agreed electrical checks where required.
Our aim is a practical answer: what is wrong, what needs testing and whether repair or replacement makes sense for your system.
Signs your solar inverter may need attention
- Red, flashing or persistent warning light
- Error code or fault message on the display
- No solar production shown during daylight
- Repeated shutdowns or unexpected restarts
- Inverter offline or monitoring connection lost
- Solar generation lower than expected without a clear reason
What to do when your inverter has an error
Record the message displayed and check whether your monitoring app reports the same issue. Avoid opening covers, operating unfamiliar switches or repeatedly resetting equipment against the manufacturer’s guidance. Only appropriately licensed people should perform electrical work.
